A nostalgic construction worker is organising a Burnham school reunion.

Curtis Knapton, 27, of Maldon Road, Goldhanger, wants to reunite his former St Peter’s High School school friends from 2004.

Mr Knapton said: “At the start of school, I was short and fat with curtains and, at the end, I was tall and lanky with a skinhead.

“I was a little bit naughty. I knew I wanted to be in construction, so hanging out with my friends was what I did at school.

“After school days, there are very few people you keep in contact with regularly, but it’s always great to get back with people you started out with.”

The school changed from St Peter’s into Ormiston Rivers Academy in 2011.

The reunion will be held at The Swallowtail Bar and Restaurant, Foundry Lane, Burnham, on April 30.

Curtis said: “The Swallow Towers was where we were all together for the last time, at prom, so it all works out.

“I have started an event group which has more than 160 members. Everyone started out chatting and sending in photos of school days and I want to get the enthusiasm going again.”
