THREE Burnham residents hope to encourage lapsed musicians and future musicians to learn traditional English music.
The trio, Meg Crawford, Janice Gale and Tim Roberts, are prepared to give basic instruction on easy, popular tunes and help people learning instruments from scratch.
Member Meg Crawford said: "This is social music, there's no conductor and there are no rigid rules, just a desire to enjoy yourself playing with others.
"The music is straight forward and generally playing in only one or two keys."
Learners need only initially master a maximum of 14 notes and anyone is welcome to take part, regardless of age or experience.
The group is holding an open day on Saturday at St Mary's Church, Burnham, between 12pm and 4pm.
Anyone interested is welcome to drop in.
