RESIDENTS have reacted with dismay after a developer unveiled plans to build nearly 500 more homes in Heybridge.
Last week, Persimmon Homes applied to build 145 homes on land west of Broad Street Green Road before asking Maldon District Council what environmental impact a further 350 homes would have on the other side of the road.
Other major developments in the pipeline include the rest of the North Heybridge garden suburb, totalling 1,235 homes, which is being considered by planners.
Heybridge Swifts are considering building 105 homes on their Scraley Road ground and constructing a stadium off Goldhanger Road.
