Bloom, country dancing and a dog show are just some of the attractions at the Southminster Flower Show as it celebrates its 130th birthday.
There will be something for everyone on Saturday July 18 at the King George V Memorial Field in Station Road.
There will be a children’s play area, fancy dress, food and drink and classic cars among an array of other entertainment.
And at the heart of the show will be competitions for handicrafts, floral art and horticulture.
Talented residents will showcase their craftwork and cookery, best vegetables and prettiest flowers.
One of the organisers, Jean Cowell, who has participated in the show for over 35 years, said: “Getting to 130 years really is something, isn’t it!"
