Police have launched a murder enquiry after two men were stabbed.
Officers were called with reports of two men with serious injuries at a property in St Anns Road, Southend, just after 10.30pm yesterday - Wednesday, November 19.
One man was declared dead at the scene, the other has been taken by ambulance to hospital with stab wounds. He is in a critical condition.
St Anns Road has been closed and forensic examinations of the scene are continuing.
DCI Simon Werrett said: "I would urge anybody who has information about this murder to contact the investigation team at Southend. If you were in St Ann's Road between 10pm and 11pm and saw a group of men running please contact us. If you do not wish to speak to the police then contact Crimestoppers.”
