An inspirational youngster has won a national WellChild Award, which celebrate the courage of children coping with serious illness.
Laughlin Whiteley, of Mildmay Road, Burnham, was picked from hundreds of nominations nationwide to win the Inspirational Child category.
He received more than a dozen nominations for his work, helping other children going through the trauma of hospital treatment, through his charity Unlock a Life for Lockey.
The charity donates craft boxes, promotes stem cell donor registration and provides free seaside day trips at a Walton beach hut for familes with a seriously ill child.
