A 90-year-old man had to be rescued after falling into the River Crouch after falling from his capsized dinghy.
He was rescued from the water by the motor cruiser Lucy Anne just before 1pm on Sunday and was taken to Burnham Yacht Harbour where he was met by an Ambulance Paramedic.
An East of England Ambulance spokesman said: "The man was treated for minor injuries but was taken to Broomfield Hospital as a precaution."
South Woodham Coastguard assisted during the incident and Burnham RNLI inshore lifeboat recovered the dinghy.
