The Environment Agency has warned of a possible flood risk along the River Crouch estuary later today.
A flood alert was issued shortly before 10am today for the Essex coast, including the Crouch and Roach estuaries.
An Environment Agency spokesman said: "The forecast high water is due at 1.45pm.
"This warning is in force until further notice."
