Magic, drama and music come to Chelmsford theatres in the first few months of the new year.
The Play That Goes Wrong (February 17 to 22) is a Noises Off meets Fawlty Towers hit comedy that comes direct from the West End, see Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (March 12) and experience a rip roaring theatrical farce based on a 1960s airline company, Boeing Boeing (March 4 to 5).
There will be musical tributes including Re-Take That, The Bon Jovi Experience, Under African Skies - a tribute to Paul Simon - and Oasis UK.
Music also comes from The Irish House Party (March 28) with their banter, Irish dancing and traditional music, a production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado (March 31) and a concert by the Academy of Ancient Music (March 2).
Magicians David Penn, Pete Firman, Fay Presto and Edward Hilsum perform a night of trickery and illusions in Champions of Magic (April 25).
