Villager's lives are being “blighted” by lorries driving to a wind farm construction site, says one district councillor.
Councillor Adrian Fluker claims that lorries and concrete mixers are driving through Southminster as early as 6am, which has led to continuous complaints from residents.
He visited the site on Monday at 7am and discovered that the gates were open and a steady stream of lorries were arriving.
He claims that delivery of turbine components and construction material is restricted to arrive between 8am to 6pm in the planning conditions set up by Maldon District Council.
“By not adhering to the planning conditions residents lives are being blighted. We have clearly got a problem and it is not acceptable," he said.
