A Maldon TV star is certainly reaping the benefits of a Bad Education.
Ethan Lawrence, 20, of Butt Lane, stars in the second series of the popular BBC comedy programme with funnyman Jack Whitehall and comedian Matt Horne, of Gavin and Stacey fame.
The first episode of the rib-tickling comedy, which sees Ethan sporting a dramatic new hair-do, was aired on Tuesday on BBC3.
It sees the former Plume School pupil playing the part of Joe, who is bullied for being fat and has come back to school with a bowl cut hairstyle.
Ethan, who is studying drama and creative writing at the Royal Holloway University of London, said: “On the first day of filming I had my hair cut and it remained that way for the seven weeks of filming."
