Pupils at William De Ferrers School surpassed last year’s GCSE results, with 58 per cent achieving five or more A* to C grades including English and maths.
The pass rate for five or more A* to C was 74 per cent, and 34 per cent of pupils gained A* or As.
Overall, 98 per cent achieved A* to G grades and some pupils in Years 9 and 10 took exams early.
