Fears have been raised that Bradwell is set to become a “nuclear dumping ground” as waste from other power stations could now destined for the Dengie peninsula.
Money-saving proposals have been put forward for Bradwell power station (pictured) to store nuclear waste from both Sizewell and Dungeness power stations.
A storage facility for intermediate level waste at Bradwell is nearing completion and has cost as much as £12million.
