A new film about the notorious “Essex Boys” murders is to be released next month.
The Fall of the Essex Boys depicts the triple murder of three drug dealers in Rettendon in 1995.
The film tells how a bad batch of ecstasy, which saw 18-year-old Leah Betts of Latchingdon go into a coma, led to the demise of the criminal gang.
Infamous gang members, Patrick Tate, Anthony Tucker and Craig Rolfe, were later blasted to death in a Range Rover.
The case became known as the “Essex Boys” murders, after inspiring a film of the same name, starring Sean Bean.
The new film, by director Paul Tanter, is due to be released on February 8.
