A VISIT from the king of the mods to Llandudno is still on the cards with a new date next spring.

Former frontman of The Jam and legendary solo artist Paul Weller will grace the Venue Cymru stage in March 2021.

Weller was original scheduled to grace the Venue Stage on Tuesday, May 12 as one of only 12 locations to welcome the mind behind A Town Called Malice, That's Entertainment, Peacock Suit and the Changingman.

These rescheduled dates will see him hit the road for his first tour since 2017. Weller was last on the road when he played several shows as part of the regular “Forest Live” outdoor gigs in summer but is always most at home performing at great concert venues.

Across an incredible career spanning more than four decades, the cult hero ' Modfather' has become synonymous with effortless cool.

Known for impeccable hair and style as much as his genre defining music, Weller has influenced many of the bands that would go on to establish 'Cool Britannia' in the 90s including Oasis and Blur.

Following his well received 14th studio album - the more stripped back True Meanings in 2018 - this new tour follows a busy period in the studio for the prolific artist, leading to the July 3 release of his latest record On Sunset.

Expect to hear this continuation of his more experimental latter years when he finally arrives in North Wales.

Any self respecting Mod, Britpop lover of music fan of any stripe won't want to miss Paul Weller at Venue Cymru on Tuesday, March 9 at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £46, and are available from venuecymru.co.uk or by calling the box office on 01492 872000 from 9am on Friday, November 1.
