Families enjoyed a night of live music and spectacular fireworks at Maldon Promenade on Saturday night.

Organised by the Maldon Rotary Club, the event saw special guest Matt Mackay from BBC Essex on stage from 6pm, with home-grown musicians like Alfie.Rocks.Guitar.

Irie Jay and Funk2k also performed before and after the fireworks display, which began at 7.30pm after the bonfire was lit.

Refreshments and a variety of hot food was available from a number of outlets.

Adult tickets for the event cost £9, tickets for children cost £7 each and children aged 5 and younger were granted free entry.
