(Footpath 5, Hullbridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2017

Further to a notice: Under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which commenced on 19th June 2017. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: to temporarily close Footpath 5, Hullbridge in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Burnham Road, south east for a distance of approximately 390 metres to its junction with Byway 6, Hullbridge (known as Long Lane). The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th June 2017 for 6 months weather permitting, or where appropriate signs are showing, and is required for the safety of the public and work force while treatment to Japanese Knotweed is undertaken. The alternative route will be via Burnham Road, Lower Road and Long Lane (Hullbridge Byway 6) and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 24th June 2017 and may continue in force for 6 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
