Notice of Confirmation of an Order Highways Act 1980 Essex County Council Public Path Diversion Orders 2019 Footpath 10 Virley and Footpath 15 Great and Little Wigborough in the Borough of Colchester
On 21 June 2019 Essex County Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed as shown on the order maps is to divert the entire length of Footpath 10 Virley commencing from a point by the access drive to Virley Hall running in a generally east north easterly direction along the access drive and between the farm buildings where it crosses the parish boundary continuing as Footpath 15 Great and Little Wigborough for a total distance of 253 metres to a point north of a pond where Footpath 15 continues unaffected, to an alternative route 2 meters in width commencing at the aforementioned start point running in a generally southerly then easterly then northerly then north easterly and finally south easterly direction parallel to and on the northern side of a drain for 335 metres to a point by the sea wall then continuing in a north easterly then northerly then north westerly direction for a final distance of 153 metres to connect to the aforementioned end point.
A copy of the Order and the Order map has been placed and may be seen free of charge at Colchester Library and Community Hub, 21 Trinity Square, Colchester, Essex, CO1 1JB and at Chelmsford Public Library, Market Road CM1 1QH during normal working hours. Copies are available on request from the Chelmsford Library at a charge. The alternative routes come into force on 10 August 2019, and the old routes shall be stopped up with effect from 10 August 2019, but if a person aggrieved by the orders wants to question their validity, or that of any provision contained in them, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 4 July 2019 make an application to the High Court. (Grange Avenue, Mayland) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Grange Avenue, Mayland in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Steeple Road to its junction with Green Lane, a distance of approximately 780m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th July 2019 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2275909A - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on

. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while resetting manhole cover works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Steeple Road, Maldon Road, Gospel Corner, Chapel Corner, The Street, Batts Road, Foxhall Road, Highlands Hill, Green Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 11th July 2019 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Rectory Lane, Latchingdon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rectory Lane, Latchingdon in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 355m south of its junction with Burnham Road for a distance of approximately 370m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th July 2019 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC005CA789W00000WAKLF56F - BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on

. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by BT.
An alternative route is available via Rectory Lane, Lower Burnham Road, Fambridge Road, Summerhill, Main Road, Burnham Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 11th July 2019 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
