GARDNER Dorothy Eveline Miss Dorothy Gardner, lately of Shalford, died on 11th February, aged 95. Special thanks to the staff at St Mary's Court Care Home, Bocking for their outstanding care. She was a graduate of LSE, a dedicated school teacher and passionate for equal opportunities. In 1971, she became the founding headteacher of Notley High School. She wrote a local history book, 'Pages from the Story of Shalford'. A celebratory memorial event will be held in the summer. For details, email john.m.gardner5@gmail.com
