MOBILE LIBRARY
2:14pm Friday 4th April 2008 in Tollesbury
The next visit to the village by the Colchester Mobile 2 vehicle will be today, Wednesday April 2nd. The van will be at St. John's Court from 12.05pm to 12.30pm before going to the East Street Masonic Car Park between 2.25pm and 4.35pm. Then it comes to the village next on April 16th.
WOMEN'S FELLOWSHIP
The Reverend Malcolm Boulter is the speaker at the meeting this week, Thursday 3rd, in the Congregational Church at 2pm.
FRIDAY WALKS
This week there is a circular walk in Colchester. Either meet in the Square at 9.30am or at 10am at Gosbecks car park, in Shrub End (near the tip) for a four and half mile walk.
Next week is a little different with a Bring A Child; invitation as walkers are taking in the Pier and Creek on their walk at South Woodham Ferrers with an option of going on to visit Marsh Farm.

GREEN WASTE
The collection vehicle will be on Woodrolfe Green this Saturday between 8.00am till 8.45am.
KEEPING UP WITH EVENTS
There's a busy calendar being compiled by the Tollesbury Creativity Group in the coming weeks ahead -This Saturday, April 5th there is a Stained Glass Saturday Workshop from 10am to 4pm in Tollesbury Community Centre - £15 members / £20 non-members.
Please ring Bob on 869212 to book There are 2 courses starting later in April on Digital Photography.
The Beginners course is for those with a compact digital camera and gets underway on Monday April 14th between 7.30pm and 9.30pm in the Community Centre.
The Intermediate/Advanced class starts on Tuesday 15th April and runs 7.30pm to 9.30pm and is for those with Sir and Dslr cameras and is also in the Community Centre. Colin Aiken is the tutor for both courses. The cost is £40 members/ £50 non-members.
The Textile Group, open to nonmembers, has a new six session block starting on Wednesday April 9th from 10am to 12.30pm.
Please call Lorraine on 860570 to book. And don't forget to note in your diary, the Village Celebration Weekend over June 6 to 8 celebrating the diversity of talent that we have in the village with a programme of events, workshops and exhibitions.
Did you collect your calico shape from Lorraine for the pennant/ flag decorations on Saturday? If more shapes are needed give her a call on 860570 but to form part of the final exhibition they do need to be returned to her by 24 May.
Those who have already collected a boat in 3D or 2D form must also remember to return them to Lorraine by the 24 May but if you haven't got your boat yet there will also be a special boat decorating day' on April 8 at the Tollesbury Activity Centre between 10.30am and 3.30pm.
CHARITY LUNCH
There will be a Charity Lunch on Saturday but there is a change of venue. It will be held in the Parish Rooms this Saturday between 12 noon and 2pm.
FREE SERVICE
A member from the Maldon Citizens Advice Bureau will be attending the Doctor's Surgery in the High Street between 2pm and 4pm on Monday 7 April. If you have any concerns on which you would like independent advice please call in to speak with her. Debt, Housing, Benefit, Employment problems, and more are all within the scope of advice offered. Every matter is treated in complete confidence and there is no charge for this service. If you are unable to make this session the Bureau may be contacted on 01621 841195 during opening hours, there is also a cab.net.org.uk
SILVER THREADS
The April meeting will be on Monday 7th between 2pm and 4pm in the Schoolroom of the Congregational Church.
FRIDAY BOOKTALK
The Booktalk meeting in February will be this Friday (7th) and their hours meeting begins at 2.15pm in the Tollesbury Community Centre. Enquiries to Mitzi on 869978.
LOCATION, LOCATION
There's been a few changes along our main street - there's a welcome to the East Street uni sex hairdressers and barbers Hair Razors and a move by Tollesbury TV Service Ltd from the High Street to Carrington's Farm in North Road.
There's no counting the chickens before they hatch but just to share the news about one of our local youth footie teams - the Tollesbury Juniors Under 11's look on target, with just 3 games to play, to led the Dengie & Blackwater League.
A double whammy could be in store for the team should they win the Cup Final to be played at the Burnham Ground on May 10.
Why not book the date and go and support them for that 10o'clock kick off?FIFTY members of the Autumn Leaves club held their traditional Easter lunch in the village hall on Wednesday, March 19.
The chairman then gave a welcome to guests for the afternoon - Sheila and Bob. At our next meeting on Wednesday, April 2, the competition will be for a pretty paperweight.
AID 2 AFRICA
The organisers of Aid 2 Africa still urgently require all your kind donations of adults and children's clothing and shoes, bedding and soft toys. You can leave your items of clothing etc either at 13 Barnhall Road at any time, or take them along to the village hall on Wednesday evening between 7- 8pm.
JAZZERCISE
