COLD NORTON AND STOW MARIES WI
1:19pm Friday 2nd November 2007 in Cold Norton
On October 17, the AGM was held. Jean Hustwayte welcomed everyone along with Hazel Ridgewell, who would be taking the proceedings.
Members then enjoyed a glass of wine and a ploughman's supper.
Jean went through the monthly business.
It was announced the Viking group carol service would be on December 10, and congratulations were offered to the darts team on winning their first match. Jean then handed over to Hazel.
Monica Williams gave the annual report and it was again a very active year for us. The treasurer's report was agreed. Jean agreed to be president for just one more year and the committee remained unchanged. The competition was won by Chris Hawes and Rosie Paul, Hilary Gardener and Monica Williams were second and third place went to Jean Hustwayte.
Our next meeting will be on November 21, with Barbara Poulter giving a talk entitled Sleep, Perchance to Dream. The competition is a Book for Bedtime.
Visitors and new members are always welcome. We meet every third Wednesday of the month at 8pm in Cold Norton Village Hall.
The competition is for a bit of fun and you are not obliged to enter.
