CHRISTIAN AID QUIZ

Please come with a team or to join a team at St Leonard's Church on Saturday 10 May at 7.30pm for a quiz evening at the start of Christian Aid week. The cost is £3 per person - bring own drink and nibbles. Call Hazel on 773542.

HOUSE TO HOUSE

We will be having the usual house to house collections during Christian Air Week and on Tuesday 13th May Christ Church will have a coffee and chat morning from 10am-11.30am.

On Wednesday 14 May St Leonard's will be open for coffee from 11am followed by a short Christian Aid Service at 11.45am and then a light hunger lunch at 12.30pm. On Thursday 15 May there will be a coffee morning with bring and buy at 2 Spells close from 10am-1pm.

FOSCOS

The Friends Of Southminster Community Open Spaces annual meeting will be held on Wednesday 28 May in the Old Parish room in Burnham Road at 7.30pm. There will be a review of the progress so far and discussion on how to spend the new grant of £65,000 which has been allocated for play equipment on Orchard Meadows.

CHRIST CHURCH SERVICES

Sunday May 11 - Christian aid Service at 10.30am. Sunday May 18 - service taken by Mr Rupert Killick. Sunday May 25 - Service taken by Mrs Heather Brown which will be Holy Communion.

Our Church Anniversary will be on Wednesday May 21 at 7pm led by our Moderator Revd. Elizabeth Caswell.

CELEBRATION MEETING

On Sunday 11 May at 4pm there will be a Christian celebration meeting held at Tillingham Congregational Church to coincide with their Church Anniversary.

Worship will be led by New Life Church from Wickford. Refreshments will be provided after the service.
