The husband of a woman who claims she was sexually abused by publicist Max Clifford when she was 12 said she was "embarrassed" when she told him about the alleged incident.
He told London's Southwark Crown Court that his wife claimed Clifford touched her inappropriately when she was on holiday in Spain with her parents.
The 43-year-old woman, who is not a complainant in the case as the alleged offence took place abroad, has told the court previously that Clifford put his hand in her bikini bottoms and made her touch his penis while they were in a jacuzzi in 1983.
Giving evidence today, her husband said his partner, who cannot be named, revealed details of the alleged incident after the pair started dating in the early 1990s.
He said: "All I knew was she had been abused by Max Clifford and it involved inappropriate touching.
"She was embarrassed about it.
"She told me she was 12 years old on holiday in Spain and it was in a jacuzzi.
"I didn't want to know too much of the detail. I didn't want it to ruin our relationship."
Earlier, the woman's parents told the court that Clifford invited their daughter to join his family in the jacuzzi but she had not told them of the alleged abuse at the time.
The woman's father and Clifford, 70, who the court heard had not met since the holiday, stared at each other as he left the witness box following his evidence.
The woman's father told the court: "He made me aware he was some form of agent. Two or three mornings in a row he joined us later... he mentioned ringing one of his artists.
"He mentioned Freddie Starr ... he also mentioned Diana Dors."
He added that Clifford gave a "direct invitation" to his daughter to join him and his daughter in the jacuzzi during the holiday.
The woman's mother told the court her daughter had not spoken about the alleged abuse when she was a child but told her three or four years ago that she had played "tig" games in the jacuzzi.
Clifford, from Hersham in Surrey, is accused of 11 counts of indecent assault against seven women and girls. He denies all the charges.
