Maldon and Tiptree boss Flanagan wants to sign Junior Luke

MALDON and Tiptree caretaker-boss Mike Flanagan is adding to his ranks after a disappointing result at the weekend.

A poor performance saw Flanagan’s side held to a 0-0 draw at Cheshunt in their Ryman League divison one north encounter.

Apart from an outstanding performance from the defence the result may have been worse for Maldon and Tiptree.

And Flanagan, who still harbours hopes of making the play-offs, is moving to strengthen his squad.

He is looking to bring in Ryman League premier division Billericay Town’s Junior Luke before Saturday’s home game against Potters Bar Town.

Flanagan said: “Hopefully by Saturday we will have a new player in on loan.

“I have been talking to Junior Luke from Billericay Town and he seems happy to come to us.

“He plays wide right and is fast.”
