Six wicket win for Woodham Mortimer

A fantastic weekend for Woodham Mortimer Cricket Club.

The first team travelled the short distance to Little Baddow and won by six wickets. Little Baddow scored 240 off 45 overs. Woodham's batsmen, led by captain Matt Goodlad 99 not out, reached the total for the loss of just four wickets.

The second team entertained Hockley at home. On a wet wicket the Woodham attack was too much for Hockley who were dismissed for 88. Steve Collis 3, John strange 2 and John Woodrow 2 were the main wicket takers.

Woodham then struggled to get a win. But some good technique from first Simon Barrett 26 then John Strange 33 not out, and a gutsy 7 not out from Geoff Reddin got Woodham home by three wickets.
