Maldon and Tiptree victorious in seven-goal thriller

LEADERS Maldon and Tiptree fought out a seven-goal thriller against bottom side Ware.

Maldon secured a 4-3 win at Park Drive that sees them top Ryman League division one north on 20 points with Potters Bar Town, but with two games in hand.

Lewis Dark and Billy Sendall put Maldon imn fromnt but Ware hit back to reduce the deficit.

This, however, provoked a response from the home side as Chris Bryan and Jonathan Glowacki gave Maldon a 4-1 lead at half-time.

If Maldon thought they had the game wrapped up then they were mistaken.

Spencer Knight grabbed Ware’s second from the penalty spot on 65 minutes before adding another to put them in with a chance of taking a share of the spoils.

Ware hit the bar late on but Maldon managed to hold on to secure the win.
