BURNHAM Ramblers manager Garry Kimble is laying down the gauntlet to his players.
Kimble’s side are riding high at the summit of the Essex Senior League and he challenged his team to stay unbeaten in January as they push for promotion.
And they took up the challenge winning 1-0 away at Barking on Tuesday night.
Snow won the day last weekend as Ramblers’ game was postponed at Barkingside, but the Leslie Field pitch is looking pristine as they get set to welcome promotion rivals Witham Town on Saturday.
Kimble said: “I’m giving my lads a goal and that’s to go unbeaten in January.
“The team that gets over this break the best and can put on a run will be in a good position.
“We have a big game coming up at home on Saturday against Witham.
“(Witham manager) Danny Greaves has got them playing like a new team and I’ve got a lot of respect for what he has done."
