Stevens is the winner


The Forrester Park ladies played for the Century Office Trophy, generously sponsored by Ken and Dorothy Bays, and this was won by Josie Stevens with net 71.

Caroline Crace was second with net 74 and Gill Smith edged out Jane Collier for third place on count back, both with net 75.

The nine-hole Stableford was won by Ruth Eary with 18 points.

The men’s competition for the Wickham flooring trophy, sponsored by Bob Oatham, was won by Chris Hurrell with 44 points.

Three players tied on 41 points and, after a count back, Roy Sayer took second place, Dave Lewis third place and David Ayres fourth-place.

The competition for the Harrington bowl, sponsored by Danny and Jan Harrington, was won by Alan Hayes with net 63.

Roland Hughes was second with net 65, beating Steve Corkhill on count back.

The two nearest-the-pin prizes were won by Bryan Bowring and Simon Harding.

There were 20 plus players with scores equalled to or better than their handicap.
