HEYBRIDGE Swifts won the Tolleshunt D'Arcy Memorial Cup for the third season in a row after beating Hullbridge Sports 3-1.

Adam Adeoye Yusuff's goal separated the sides at half-time, in Tuesday's contest at Scraley Road.

Reece Grant then converted a penalty, just before the hour-mark, to double his side's lead.

Jack Cawley quickly made it three, before Jimmy Cox pulled one back from the spot, to give Hullbridge hope.

However, Ryman League division north side Swifts saw the game out to get their hands on the silverware again, despite the late sending-off of Alieu Njie.

Jody Brown's side will now be hoping their cup success gives them a timely confidence-boost going into their final three Ryman League fixtures.

They are just two points above the relegation zone ahead of tricky Easter fixtures at Norwich United, on Saturday, and Maldon and Tiptree, on Monday.

They then finish with a home match against Phoenix Sports on Saturday week.
