CHRIS Graham started the new year on a winning note after shooting an outstanding score in Five Lakes Golf Club's Hangover Cup.
Graham (23) came home with an impressive 44 points to win the Gents' 18-hole stableford, contested by 17 golfers from the white tees.
Second place went to Steve Harris (21) with 39 points, who finished ahead of third-placed Luke Ratty (8).
Ratty stormed the back nine with 22 points to return 36 stableford points, along with two other players.
Mark Harlow and Rob Kilgour lost out on countback to Ratty, despite his indifferent front nine of 14 points.
Ratty and Malcolm Pook both claimed birdie twos on the 191-yard par three 16th hole.
