Meanwhile, the Winter League B was met with wind, rain and cold but there were some surprisingly good scores considering the conditions.

Winners on the day for league B1 were Mick Leonard and Paul Lindus with 43 points.

Second place on the day went to James Marchant and Tony Wilkin with 41 points, which was good enough to keep them top of the table from Matt and Rob Hawksworth in second spot.

The Hawksworths could only manage third on the day with 38 points on the course.

League B2 still sees AJ and Ryan Davies leading but they were only the fourth best scorers in their division from the Richardsons and Gordon Howat and Dean Bewers - all on countback with 41 points.

Best on the day was a welcome return to form for Will Davey and Simon Orrin, who scored 44 points.
