MALDON Bowling Club's Andy Squire has won the County Two Wood Singles Championship making it three successive years as Essex champion.
In the final, played at Essex County BC in Westcliff-on-Sea, he was up against Mark Banning from the Silverthorn club.
Squire got off to a great start, quickly building up an 8-0 lead and never gave his opponent any real chance of recovering the deficit.
The Maldon man went on to win in convincing style 17-5 and rubber-stamped his recent domination in the two wood discipline.
He now goes to Royal Leamington Spa to compete in the National Finals, hoping to go one better than last year when he finished as National runner-up and in September, will attempt to defend his Eastern Counties title.
