A GROUP of Dengie 100 Running Club members braved the hot conditions to take part in the Halstead Marathon.
Nine of the club's runners took part in the event, held over 26.2 miles of very undulating country roads in temperatures reaching 26 degrees.
Dan Tunbridge (4 hours 43 minutes 28 seconds), Emily da Oarfe (5h 22m 40s), Chris McDonnell (4h 17m 12s), Kelvin Fleuty (4h 52m 22s), William Radley (4h 36m 58s), Samantha Boshell (5h 18m 57s), Wendy Aldridge (4h 27m 58s), Richard See all completed the event.
Stephen Sawyer had to withdraw after 11 miles.
