Maldon-Swifts derby is postponed, Witham match also off but Regent pitch passes inspection
TODAY'S Ryman League north division derby between Maldon and Tiptree and Heybridge Swifts has been postponed.
Storm Katie led to heavy rain in the area and, after a morning pitch inspection, it was decided to call the game off.
Elsewhere in the division, Witham Town's match at home to AFC Hornchurch is also off, but the Brightlingsea Regent v Wroxham games is going ahead as planned, following an inspection of the North Road pitch.
