Craig Dawson took fifth place in one hour, 39 minutes and seven seconds.

Paul Dellar ran 1h 48m 41s for eighth place.

Malcolm Bailey finished in 2h 11m 9s and Wendy Smalley 2h 59m 4s.

Rob Hadgraft finished the 4.9-mile trail in 53m 36s.

Paul Mingay, on holiday in New England, ran the Newburyport, Massachusetts, half-marathon and set a new personal best and club record in 1h 17m 4s.

He finished 13th out of about 2,500 competitors and was first in his age group.

Mark Lawes and Tracy Harrington ran the Blackwater Marathon, a trail event, finishing in 4h 45m.

Anthony Knight completed the Xtreme Running obstacle race in 1h 5m.

Andrew Conway finished the Maldon Prom Parkrun in 20m 30s, with Malcolm Bailey running 23m 24s, Vicky Knight 26m 18s, Kim Broughton 30m 9s and Roger Duffield 30m 29s.

At the Colchester Parkrun, Abigail Morgan ran 24m 36s with Gary Perryman finishing in 24m 38s.

Tim Ford ran the Netley Abbey Parkrun in 23m 49s.

Earlier he ran 23m 10s at the Colchester Castle Parkrun, his fastest time on the course.
