HEYBRIDGE Swifts lost the lead twice as they fell to defeat at high-flying AFC Sudbury.

The Scraley Road side lost their Ryman League division north match 4-2, the last game before new manager Jody Brown takes over at the weekend.

Billy Hunt opened the scoring for Swifts in the 23rd minute at The Wardale Williams Stadium.

But the lead didn’t last long as Sam Bantick equalised for the home side eight minutes later.

However, Sudbury were reduced to ten men when Ryan Henshaw was sent off on 34 minutes with a straight red card after handling the ball on the goal-line following a Swifts shot.

Josh Fagbohun then put the visitors back in front with the resultant penalty.

But, Bantick then equalised yet again for Sudbury in the 39th minute.

The home side took the lead for the first time in the second half when former Swifts player Luke Callander fired home on 57 minutes.

Bantick then sealed the win for Sudbury when he completed his hat-trick on 68 minutes.
