THE Forrester Park men’s competition this week was a charity event in aid of Macmillan Nurses, with all competitors having a pink item of clothing.
The winner was Mark Jeffrey with a score of nett 62. Geoff Valentine was second, with nett 65, and Terry Canham third, on nett 66.
The big winner was the charity, as £400 was raised for Macmillan Nurses The veterans’ competition was a stableford, which was won by Mike Donovan, with 40 points.
A countback was required for the minor places as five players returned a score of 38 points and finished in the following order – Stuart Wilson, Jack Whinney, Terry Shuttleworth, Dave Powell and Harry Whiteman.
The ladies played their September medal with Chris Davis winning the first division, with nett 72, from Irene Hoffmann, nett 75.
In the second division, Dawn Marriot won with nett 74, with Diana Ketley in second place. The third division was won by Marian Brunt.
