THERE were mixed results for Burnham on Crouch’s ladies’ teams Monday saw both the Silver and Bronze teams battling for places in the next round of their respective competitions.

The Silver team played the Warren away and despite losing 3-2, wins came from Avis Greenaway and Liz Clark, it looks as though they may be through to the semi-final by topping their league on the aggregate of games won against those lost.

However, this requires confirmation from the Essex Ladies Golf Union.

The Bronze team played Forrester Park on the Stoke by Nayland Constable Course in the quarter-final of the Bronze trophy.

There were wins for Claire Lewis 6&5 and Heather Sullivan one-up but disappointingly the team lost 5 – 2.
