ENJOYING THE OCCASION: Ernie Pollard’s Maldon Bowling Club President’s Day was a big hit with both home and visiting players.
MALDON Bowls Club’s Ernie Pollard welcomed players from Maldon and his guests from around the county to his President’s Day.
The President’s Team of Peter Perrin, Ken Saunders, Terry Little and Alec Campbell won 124-114. The highest-scoring Maldon team was Phil Davies, Jim Thompson, John Shaw and Mike Hartshorn.
The spider was won by Joe Harris, from Great Baddow, and money raised from this and the raffle will go to the President’s charity Dementia Care.
Pollard was very pleased with the way the afternoon went and thanked everyone for coming.
He also thanked the ladies of the club for cooking and serving the meal and thanked Pam Clack for the flower arrangements on the tables.
