BURNHAM on Crouch’s ladies’ Silver team continued their good run.

They played Stableford Abbotts in their second match of the round robin series.

Good sunshine but very blustery conditions were definitely favourable to the home team.

However, most of the matches were close but Burnham prevailed, winning 4-1.

The first victory fell to Sue Frost, winning on the 12th, followed by Viv Locke on the 17th, Jean Bailey on the 17th and Liz Clark on the 16th.

That is two out of two matches won.

Burnham next take on The Essex tomorrow. There was a good field for the June Medal played by weekend ladies and Thursday ladies.

The scores were generally higher than usual, probably as a result of the continuing breezy conditions which continue to provide a tough challenge.

The course was again in superb condition thanks to the tireless efforts of the Greenkeeping team.
