TIPTREE Road Runner James Haskey-Jones took part in the gruelling Endure 24.

The 24-hour round-the clock event is staged over a series of five mile laps.

Haskey-Jones completed 18 laps, for a total of 90 miles, to take 22nd place in a field of over 100 in a total time of 23h 9m 28s.

Tiptree’s relay team completed 28 laps with Vicky Knight finishing two laps, Rebecca McVelia and Anne-Marie Bearne three laps and Anthony Knight, Mark Lawes, Phill Clarke, John McVelia and Tina Clarke running four. Emma Goodson, in the solo ladies’ event, completed four laps.

The second race in the Maldon 5K handicap series saw Chris McDonnell, of Dengie 100 Runners, posting the fastest time in the country in his age group.

For the club, Jonathan Finch 19m 59s, Zoe Gould 25m 51s and Sean Pope 27m 25s all set personal bests.

Gary Perryman ran 21m 2s and Lucy Davies 22m 54s.

Anthony Knight ran 24m 41s, Martin Pratley 26m 2s, Natalie Bourne 27m 32s, David Stokes 27m 52s and Dawn Shilling 28m 22s.

At the Southend half-marathon, Gary Perryman was first home for the club in 1h 40m 56s, with Craig Dawson returning from injury in 1h 57m 34s.

Zoe Gould and Martin Pratley finished in 2h 10m 17s and Natalie Bourne ran 2h 22m 52s.

Simon Morgan ran the Maldon Prom Parkrun in 21m 13s, with Valerie Rees setting a personal best of 22m 34s and finishing second lady.

Stuart Meddemmen ran 22m 45s, Malcolm Bailey 23m, David Stokes 28m 7s and Dawn Shilling 28m 41s.

Jeff Fairfull finished the Brentwood Parkrun in 28m 46s and Tim Ford showed he is returning from injury with a run of 24m 18s at the Netley Abbey Parkrun.

Dawn Shilling tackled the hilly off-road Orpington 10K, finishing in 1h 5m 40s, and the Crown-to-Crown 5K.

Abigail Morgan ran 24m 51s, finishing fifth lady, with Simon Morgan finishing in the same time.
