A GOOD field took to the championship Lakes course to play in the Five Lakes President’s Mid Summer Cup.
With the course looking and playing in excellent condition, both Ian Cottee and Malcolm Pook returned nett 74s, followed by four players with nett 73s.
Neil Shinwell (9), Pat McSweeney (12) were just outside the main prizes.
Six-handicapper Dave Rogers claimed third place on countback with club captain Roger Hyman second with a better back nine.
However, the winner of the President’s Mid Summer Cup is John Rogers (13) with a nett 72.
The scratch prize was won by John’s son Dave Rogers, with a gross 79.
Birdie balls on the par threes were won by Ben Grant and Danny Owen on the 11th and Harry Clover on the long 16th.
Tom Arrowsmith also won balls for an eagle on the par five 18th.
