CLIFF Akurang has secured two more signatures for Heybridge Swifts’ new campaign.

Midfielder George Cocklin and defender Brad James become the latest players to confirm they will be at the Ryman League division one north club as pre-season approaches.

Swifts manager Akurang said: “George is one of the brightest prospects to come out of the Heybridge youth set-up and was an instrumental figure in the team last season.

“I believe he has the ability to become a great player one day and we expect big things from him this season.”

James has been rising up through the youth system as well and has spent a couple of seasons with the Under-21 team as well as being introduced into first team training and making substitute appearances.

The defender has also gained experience with Halstead Town.

Akurang said: “Brad is also a bright prospect from the Heybridge youth set-up looking to make the step up to the first team this season.

“I am pleased to have them both on board.”
