Cliff Akurang was delighted with his side’s victory at Ware.
His Heybridge Swifts team turned around a two-goal deficit to secure victory at Ware and win their Ryman League division one north match 4-2 on Tuesday night.
Swifts look to have safeguarded their position in the division with the Ware victory, coupled with their derby day 1-0 win against Burnham Ramblers on Saturday.
They now sit in 14th place in the table with 49 points.
However, Akurang is taking nothing for granted.
He said: “Until it’s mathematically certain I err on the side of caution.
“The boys are buzzing after Tuesday night.
“I’ve given them tonight off and we go again on Saturday.
“But they are making their jobs more difficult because they will have to improve on their position next season.”
Looking back on their game at Ware, Akurang was delighted with the result.
He said: “We never seem to do it the easy way.
“But they showed their mettle coming back from 2-0 down to take the win.”
This weekend Heybridge travel to Romford in the league.
