THE Tarpley 20 saw a great performance from Tiptree Road Runner Paul Mingay.

He broke the club M55 record and set the third fastest UK time in his age category with a run of two hours, 16 minutes and 14 seconds.

Andrew Conway ran his first 20 in 2h 28m 5s and Tracy Harrington was just outside her best time in 2h 36m 53s.

Lucy Swan made her debut for the club in the Tarpley 10 with a run of 1h 29m 48s.

Zoe Gould ran 1h 30m 47s and Lindsay Salmon set a personal best of 1h 31m.

The Grizzly, a 20-mile multi-terrain run of mud, cliff paths, bogs and beach in Devon attracted a big contingent from the club.

James Haskey-Jones was first home in 2h 53m 16s followed by Craig Dawson in 3h 14m 55s.

In the Cub race, a ten-mile event over similar terrain, Paul Mingay ran 1h 10m 50s to claim third place, with Simon Morgan running 1h 25m 2s and Abigail Morgan 1h 43m 10s.
