MALDON and Tiptree boss Alan Kimble is taking it one game at a time.

The Jammers secured a 1-1 Ryman League division one north draw at Aveley on Saturday thanks to a Nathan Koranteng goal.

It saw Kimble’s side bounce back from their defeat against Tilbury the previous week, which brought an end to a three-match unbeaten run.

However, Kimble’s side have only lost three of their ten games since the turn of the year.

This weekend they host high-flying Brentwood Town at Park Drive and Kimble is looking for his side to kick on from their result against Aveley.

He said: “I am taking it one game at a time.

“There were 16 players in the squad for last Saturday’s game.

“Everyone has a chance to play and I will pick a team on merit.

“If you have the shirt it is up to you to keep it and if you don’t then you need to work to show that you want it.”

But the Jammers boss is expecting a tough encounter against the side sitting fourth in the division.

Kimble said: “I think it will be a good test for us.

“We only have nine matches to go and I want to build and keep the momentum going.

“When we walked into the club the task was survival.

“If you would have told me then we could have a chance of a top ten or 12 finish then I would have taken your arm off.”
