MALDON and Tiptree boss Alan Kimble knows that this Saturday’s match is very important for his side.

The Jammers secured a 1-1 draw against ten-man Needham Market in their Ryman League division one north match last weekend.

It was a result that went some way to erasing their 4-1 defeat against Wroxham the previous week.

And now Kimble wants his side to build on that performance against rivals Redbridge on Saturday.

Redbridge sit in 20th place in the division, two places and three points below the Jammers.

Kimble said: “Saturday’s match is a very important game for us given our respective league positions.

“But we have to make sure that we turn up for the games against the lower sides in the division.

“If you look at the Burnham match (1-1) we were poor that day.

“We have to raise our game against the sides that are below us in the table.

“We need to get clear of the relegation zone.

“We are nine points clear at the moment but some of the teams below us have games in hand.

“However, I’d prefer to have the points in the bag than the games in hand.

“It’s a big, big game for us.

“If we win then we open up a six-point gap on them.

“They are going to be tough opponents.

“They are a big physical side and they will be looking to bounce back from their 4-1 defeat at Waltham Abbey while we will be looking to continue on from Saturday’s performance.

“Everyone is fit and I have a full squad to chose from.”
