The New Year’s Eve Flitch Way Marathon saw good performances from Tiptree Road Runners’ athletes.

Tracy Harrington finished in a strong time of three hours, 43 minutes and 20 seconds.

Graeme Moon set a new club M60 record of 4h 10m 36s, despite running the last part of the race on pain killers to counter a foot injury.

Earlier, at the Jack’s Apple Trail, Paul Dellar was first home for the club in the long event, finishing in 2h 16m to take ninth place.

James Haskey-Jones ran 2h 22m with a group of Tracy Harrington, Louise Hawkins, Gemma Schelus and Kim Broughton coming home in 3h 6m.

In the short event, Malcolm Bailey also claimed ninth place with a run of 1h 1m.

Simon and Abigail Morgan finished in 1h 8m.

Mark Lawes and Mark Shillaker ran 1h 9m, with Tina Clarke, Lindsay Salmon and Zoe Gould finishing in 1h 11m.

Paula Rothero ran 1h 13m, Wendy Smalley 1h 14m and Peter Bouldstridge 1h 31m.

At New Year’s Day Parkruns, James Haskey-Jones started 2015 with a third place at Maldon, finishing in 19m 37s.

Andrew Conway ran 20m 38s and Malcolm Bailey 24m 16s.

David Stokes improved his personal best to 27m 6s and Tracy Russell finished in 27m 10s.
