NINETEEN players contested the annual and seasonal Five Lakes Whisky stableford competition on the Lakes course.
For those connoisseurs who like to take a little water with their malts, there were copious amounts of it on the fairways.
Players were allowed to tee up on the sodden fairways to protect them.
Although an individual competition, cards were drawn at the end of play to give the winning pairs with the highest aggregate scores.
Results: 1 Peter Gee and Mick Phillis 74 pts, 2 Richard Taylor and John Saunders 70 pts, 3 Bryan Thompson and Ken Laight 66 pts ocb, 4 David Barbour and Graham Morris 66 pts.
The competition was followed by the annual Seniors’ Christmas Dinner held in the Brasserie of the Crowne Plaza Five Lakes Resort.
