Heybridge Swifts manager Keith Wilson views this weekend’s FA Trophy clash as a ‘massive’ game for the club.

They entertain Herne Bay at Scraley Road on Saturday looking to regain some of their sporadic good form.

Swifts fell to an under-par 1-0 Ryman League division one north defeat at Great Wakering Rovers on Saturday, on the back of a disappointing 4-2 Robert Dyas League Cup exit at the hands of visiting Brentwood Town last Tuesday week.

Previously to that Swifts had won four out of six of their previous games.

And they suffered another league defeat on Tuesday night, 4-2 against visiting Dereham Town.

Wilson said: “The FA Trophy is a massive game for the club.

“The pressure will be right on us on Saturday.

“We all need to be together for that match.

“It is the last chance we have to get some money into the coffers for the club.

“We have to play better than we have but hopefully we can go on a bit of a run in the competition.”
